ICT SOS offers expert training about human trafficking for adults to take into their communities, including schools, nonprofit organizations, and other community groups. These people are often on the frontlines with access to those who are vulnerable for trafficking.
Understanding how victims are targeted, how to speak about trafficking in ways that don’t feed into harmful and negative stereotypes, and how to help survivors is essential to the fight against trafficking.

This training is for those who will come into contact the most with trafficking victims. This includes educators. We also offer training for community groups who want to be involved in the fight against trafficking.
Educators
The schools are often the first place in which signs of trafficking are noticed. Educators are mandated reporters and knowing the signs of abuse, exploitation and trafficking is essential to keeping students safe. Educators can learn the stages of trafficking to identify potential victims and intervene. These training modules are age appropriate for educators teaching high school, middle school, and even elementary aged children.
In addition to learning lifesaving information for students, educators can earn continuing education credits for our training.
Community Groups
Whether you are a part of a civic organization, nonprofit or faith-based organization, you can educate your members or train to facilitate others about human trafficking.
Continuing education credits are available for these groups as well if required.
Our training modules include information about human trafficking, how to identify victims, intervene, and provide resources to survivors. We also have a module about sexual assault and consent, which are integral to the fight against trafficking. A third module focuses on the power of language and how it affects victims and survivors.

Film screenings are a great first step in training and can be downloaded as part of our curriculum.
In addition, we work with community partners to provide resources for social media as well as training for parents.
Our education curriculum can be accessed through a secure portal on our website. Educational materials are provided including curriculum with detailed presentations, worksheets, and more. Providing access to this training online allows ICT S.O.S. to expand education to the farthest corners of Kansas—and beyond. You can choose the days and times most convenient for yourself or your group.
Human trafficking is as old as humans and in these modern times, we now have better tools to fight this issue, prevent trafficking, and help survivors. The more educated our communities are about human trafficking, the more we are able to prevent trafficking, and help survivors. The saying “it takes a village” is true, and providing tools for communities to fight and ultimately end trafficking is our goal.
This convenient, online training will equip you and your organization with the knowledge needed to help prevent trafficking and help survivors. The average age of initial exploitation is 10-13 years old. There is no time to waste in the fight.
