The numbers around child sexual abuse (CSA) and trafficking are heartbreaking. Traffickers recruit, harbor, transport, and provide children under 18 for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
The U.S. Department of State reports that human trafficking occurs in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories. Human trafficking can include forced labor as well as sexual exploitation.

This is a bipartisan, human-focused issue that communities are stepping up to help solve. There are concrete ways you can make a difference in your community and for survivors.
Organizations in your community are actively working to prevent human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Find a group in your area that you can assist with their efforts. You may become an educator or help with direct services for survivors. In Kansas, ICT SOS is working with community partners to prevent trafficking and help survivors. You can contact us to become an ICT SOS volunteer.

We have a trained team ready to provide your organization or group with presentations. Topics include an overview of human trafficking and how you can help. You can request a speaker on our main website.
Taking part in educational programs such as those provided by ICT SOS is a great start. Educating yourself and your community about the warning signs of human trafficking is the first step in prevention. Our curriculum is designed to help nonprofits, educators and community organizations understand the complexity around human trafficking while offering concrete ways to help prevent it.
If you need training facilitated by ICT SOS, we can help with that as well! Our educators can provide one of our current training presentations or we can create a custom presentation for your organization. If you would like to request a training, contact us.
There are several great films and documentaries that depict accurate representations of human trafficking. Our team can help you find the best one for your group and arrange a screening. We can stay for a question and answer session at the end and to provide resources to your group for fighting trafficking in our community.
ICT SOS relies on the generosity of our community to provide educational programs and resources for survivors. You can help by donating to our Education Fund, or by using your sphere of influence to help us access funding sources. Examples of this can include community funds through your employer, or other grants. You can also work with our team to develop an event (i.e. cornhole tournament, bowling, reading marathon) that you can organize and donate proceeds to ICT SOS.
